 (The University of Copenhagen Amager in the summer)
The summer course is designed for foreign students who study Danish, and who have previously studied Danish for at least two semesters. The course is organised by Lise Bostrup from the Institute of Nordic Studies and Language at Copenhagen University Amager (KUA), and the Danish Cultural Institute.
Danish Classes
The Danish language classes will commence everyday from Monday 11th until Friday 29th August from 9.00am to 12.30pm (four lessons per day) at KUA. Classes will be lead by specialists in Danish language and literature from the university and will include training in pronunciation using the University’s language laboratory.
Activities
Mentioned below are a few examples:
- Introduction to Copenhagen: Copenhagen’s City Museum, Christiansborg and the Parliament
- Introduction to Copenhagen as an academic centre: Copenhagen University, The Royal Library and student facilities
- An Introduction to Contemporary Danish literature by Erik Skyum-Nielsen, lecturer at Copenhagen University
- Meeting with a Danish author

- Visit to the Danish Writers Association in Tordenskjolds House on Christianshavn.
- Visit to a Danish newspaper
- Tour around multicultural Nørrebro
- Tour of Christiania
- Party with Danish students at the Regensen Hall of Residence.
Accommodation
We offer rooms in student houses with options offer the possibility of a single or a double a room, with access to bathroom and cooking facilities. It is also possible to eat in the canteen at KUA.
Course Price
Language course including activities costs 4.000 DKK and accommodation will cost a further 3.000 DKK.
